Singer-surfer Jack Johnson is back on board to make big waves on the stage! Fans have waited for four years to see Johnson gear up for a tour again, and their wait could not be more worth it. Johnson is making sure that his SURFILMUSIC Tour will be a compilation of his deep love not only for the water but also for music, surfing, and filmmaking. After making a mark on the Grammy Awards and the Billboard Awards, Johnson knows that the real judge of his music will be the live audience of his upcoming shows.
Johnson’s mellow music is not as quiet as it seems, with 11.8 million people listening monthly to his big hits like Only The Ocean, Hope, and of course, the ultimate crowd favorite: Banana Pancakes. Johnson, whose music career commenced after frontman Garrett Dutton of G.Love & Special Sauce heard his originally composed song Rodeo Clowns, has produced a discography reflecting his grounded, hopeful, and peaceful lifestyle. Now, he’s the go-to singer for feel-good, laid-back tempos that will make any listener want to live in the moment.
Just like Johnson’s music, the SURFILMUSIC Tour will be a celebration of bonds and relationships, with Latin instrumental band Hermanos Gutiérrez, alternative/indie band Lake Street Dive, and G. Love & Special Sauce frontman Garrett Dutton accompanying him throughout his SURFILMUSIC Summer Tour in America. Before the tour officially kicks off, Johnson collaborated with Hermanos Gutiérrez to produce a song called Hold On To The Light, serving as a teaser for the tour and the film next year.
The Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre can accommodate up to 18,000 guests, with 7,500 fixed seats and a general admission lawn section. It offers a phenomenal view of the Rocky Mountains and the quality of the acoustics are simply outstanding.
