Iconic rock musician and filmmaker Rob Zombie rose to prominence with his notorious horror and sci-fi-themed lyrics. He is known for his elaborate theatrics and for maintaining a Halloween-like persona onstage. Zombie emerged in 1985, initially as the frontman of the heavy metal band White Zombie. In 1996, he collaborated with Alice Cooper on the song “Hands of Death (Burn Baby Burn).” The single was later nominated for Best Metal Performance at the Grammy Awards. Two years later, Rob Zombie released his exemplary debut album, Hellbilly Deluxe. The record peaked at number 5 on the Billboard 200, as well as charting impressively in seven other countries. Moreover, it was later certified triple platinum after selling more than three million copies in the U.S.
Meanwhile, Alice Cooper’s most significant moment was his debut solo effort, Welcome to My Nightmare. Released in 1975, the highly-acclaimed album was his first record since legally changing his name to Alice Cooper following the band’s breakup. Welcome to My Nightmare notably debuted at number 5 o the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum in three countries, including the U.S., U.K., and Australia.
