Denver, Coloradio-based retro radio station KXKL Kool 105.1 FM not only plays the classics from the 70s and 80s, but takes the music on the road with their annual Kool Koncert event. Every year, they put together the most influential, iconic, and well-loved artists from the era of the 70s and 80s to celebrate the decades that brought us hairspray, bell-bottom jeans, neon and psychedelic colors, but most all, music that never fails to evoke wonderful memories.

This year's Kool Koncert 2014 is headlined by none other than 80s teen-power pop-rock heartthrob Rick Springfield. This Australian musician, singer, songwriter, and actor was the ultimate crush of 80s teenyboppers. He rocked their hearts with his string of massive hit songs like "Jessie's Girl", "Love Somebody", "I've Done Everything For You", "Don't Talk To Strangers", "Affair of the Heart", and many more. Fans rocked with him on the concert stage, but also swooned over him on the boob tube, as Rick Springfield played the role of dashing Doctor Noah Drake in TV's long-running daytime drama soap 'General Hospital. Rick Springfield is an accomplished musician in his own right, with a Grammy Award to his name. In 1981, he bagged the Grammy for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance Award for "Jessie's Girl". He may have shied away from the limelight from time to time, but he bounces back with extensive touring, guest performances, and even reprising the role of Dr. Noah Drake in General hospital, after a 23-year absence, from 2005 to 2008, 2012, and 2013.

Completing the Kool Koncert tour line-up this year are glam rock band Cheap Trip, Loverboy and new romantics band The Romantics.

Don't miss this totally 80s music explosion. But it ain't cool to wait 'til the last minute…start getting your tickets now!
